Welcome to Kristy’s Barn!
Kristy’s Barn LLC at 2385 Brookview rd. in Castleton, NY 12033 | (518) 477-6250 | Our website address is: http://kristysbarn.com.
We have a few policies and guidelines to ensure transparency, safety, and enjoyment of our products and farmland.
Product Returns
Plants – Due to the nature of the product and elements out of our control, all plant sales are final. Please give us a call if you’d like advice or recommendations. We will do our best to direct you in the right direction. We highly suggest lightly fertilizing with every watering.
Produce – Although we are consistently tasting and sorting what we sell, our products are not plastic and we do get the occasional ‘bad apple’. If you happen to get one of these products either from our farm stand or a farmer’s market we require a phone call or online message within 3 days of purchase or as soon as the issue is realized within reason. From there we will direct you in the best way to return the product in majority for store credit.
Farm Access
We are a working farm. For your safety visitors are only allowed in designated areas. These areas are continually changing based on u-pick seasons and Fall festivities. Please always check in with our in-store team before heading out to pick.
Vehicles – Our u-pick areas are all easily walked to therefore we do not allow vehicles on the farm. Please contact us in advance if you have a mobility concern and we will determine the best option.
Photography
We prioritize our farming business – production, preservation, farm customers and their experience. We do not make accommodations for photo shoots. Our photography policy was developed after more than one instant of photographers affecting our Kristy’s Barn customers and Kristy’s Barn activities. Prior permission and proof of insurance is required for any photos taken for compensation of any kind. As our insurance man explained if anything happens during a photo shoot we will be held responsible. Being put on an insurance policy as “an additional insured” is easy and in most cases does not cost the policyholder additional money. In our world today, sadly we always need to think about insurance. Location fee based on length and time of shoot.
In all cases anyone taking photos should not interfere with other customer’s experience on the farm.
Dogs
Dogs – Due to insurance and health code policies, we do not allow dogs or other pets in store or on our farm. On-duty service dogs are welcome.
